SonyLiv responds to calls for #BoycottSonyTV over Crime Patrol episode
SonyLiv got caught in a soup, after it aired an episode of Crime Patrol which was allegedly similar to the ongoing Shraddha Walkar case.

Apparently, the makers of the show depicted the religion of the leads as Christian and Muslim, wherein the girl was a Christian and the boy a Muslim. The episode pictured the boy as one who chopped the girl into pieces.

Post this, netizens took to Twitter to express their disappointment over the episode, with #BoycottSonyTV trending.

However, Sony TV has issued a statement via its OTT platform SonyLiv’s handle denying any connection with the case. The episode is currently not on air.
