Samsung pushes music feature with Aamir's starpower

Samsung Telecommunications India is using the star power of Aamir Khan to reinforce its new positioning 'What is Next?", 'next' being the 3D surround sound feature of Samsung Beat450 Music Phone.Developed by Cheil Communications, the new TVC with Aamir Khan highlights the the 3D feature of the phone by focusing on the expressions and emotions on Aamir's face while he listens to its sound. "The advertisement focuses on the sheer experience from the sound which does away with the need for any words," said the company's spokesperson.

Samsung Telecommunications India is using the star power of Aamir Khan to reinforce its new positioning 'What is Next?", 'next' being the 3D surround sound feature of Samsung Beat450 Music Phone.

Developed by Cheil Communications, the new TVC with Aamir Khan highlights the the 3D feature of the phone by focusing on the expressions and emotions on Aamir's face while he listens to its sound. "The advertisement focuses on the sheer experience from the sound which does away with the need for any words," said the company's spokesperson.

To bring the experience alive and to demonstrate 3D surround sound – Samsung Mobile has set up experience zone in shopping malls and other traffic points for consumers. The TVC will be on air from the second week of June on various channels including ESPN (Euro 2008), NDTV 24x7, CNN IBN, Channel V, MTV, Sony, 9X, etc. The TVC will be supported by an extensive outdoor plan. 

The Korean mobile major announced the appointment of actor Aamir Khan as its brand ambassador  for Samsung Mobile Phones in India in March this year. The company plans to leverage Aamir in its brand advertising as well as product advertising for Mobile phones in sync with its "What is Next" brand positioning.
