Reporting to director Abhishek Karnani, he will be based in Mumbai

Rudolf Fernando appointed president of Free Press Group
Rudolf Fernando has been appointed president of Free Press Group of newspapers.
 
Fernando will report to Abhishek Karnani, director, Free Press Group. 
 
He will be in charge of business development, marketing and promotions of all editions of Free Press Journal, and will be based in Mumbai. 
 
His two-decade long journey in media started at the Free Press Journal in Mumbai.
 
Karnani said, “Rudolf will leverage our publication across all four regions and he will also be assisting the team leaders in pitching more of new campaigns. He would be using his links and talents to not only to benefit our organisation, but also clients and agencies with his massive experience through various thoughtful ideas. His expertise and experience will bring out more of  innovations, BTL, fresh approach and better execution at a larger scale.”
 
Fernando expressed happiness and said he was excited to return to the print media, and in particular the Free Press Journal, from where he started his journey.
 
Prior to this, he was national head of OOH player Global Advertisers. He has also worked with Dainik Bhaskar and SAB TV in past assignments.
