Oswaal Books’ film urges parents to focus on smiles, not scores

Oswaal Books has released a new film titled Aaj Din Me Kitna Muskuraye?, designed to draw attention to the emotional strain many students experience during the exam period. Narrated by actor, writer and poet Piyush Mishra, the film explores the often-unspoken feelings children manage while preparing for assessments, shifting the focus from academic output to emotional resilience.

The narrative follows students as they navigate pressures linked to parental expectations, peer comparisons and performance anxiety. It also reflects the additional weight of teenage emotions, which are frequently put on hold as children concentrate on academic goals. By presenting these quiet, everyday challenges, the film argues for a broader understanding of what young people endure during exam season.

Prashant Jain, ceo of Oswaal Books, notes that the campaign aims to broaden the definition of exam readiness. Jain says: "Every exam season, we see children preparing. But behind their determination lie emotions they don’t always share. This film reminds us that marks are just one part of a child’s journey. As parents, educators, and caregivers, let’s support not only their learning but their emotional well-being too. A confident and happy child performs better not just in one exam, but in life."

Released around Children’s Day, the film seeks to prompt discussions among parents, teachers and the wider community about prioritising student wellbeing. Oswaal Books positions the campaign as an extension of its commitment to making learning simpler and more student-friendly across India.

The film will run across digital platforms and social channels and will be supported by community initiatives encouraging parents to engage more empathetically with their children during exam time. Through this approach, Oswaal Books aims to reinforce the value of recognising effort and happiness alongside academic performance.
