Ogilvy Public Relations names new president for India office

Ogilvy & Mather India has named Arijit Sengupta as the new national head of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide in India.Piyush Pandey, executive chairman and national creative director, O&M India said, “We are very delighted to have him on board.  PR is a core component of our 360 degree brand stewardship strategy, and we are optimistic about its future growth in India.”

Ogilvy & Mather India has named Arijit Sengupta as the new national head of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide in India.

Prior to Ogilvy, Arijit  was with Corporate Voice Weber Shandwick, an IPG unit. A  Post  Graduate  in  financial management and mass communications, Sengupta has  17 years of experience in marketing and communication and is  a  visiting  faculty
at IIM – Bangalore and has been associated with MICA for the past 10 years.

Christopher Graves, Regional CEO of Ogilvy PR, says Arijit is joining at an historic time. He said, “As  an  Asian  Pacific PR network, we have grown more than 70% in the past four  years  and  are now twice the size of any competitor. India will be a key driver in the world economy for a long time to come and we need someone at  the  helm with experience and agility to steer us into whole new areas.
We think Arijit is the right person to do that.”
