Network18 announces elevations across leadership team

Karan Abhishek Singh, Mitul Sangani, Shivakumar and Smriti Mehra given new roles, while Pranav Bakshi joins the company

Network18 has announced appointments and elevations across its leadership team. With these moves, Network18 aims to establish an integrated broadcast and digital ecosystem.
 
Shivakumar, currently chief operating officer - branded content, Network 18 (Digital), has been given the role of president, News18 Studios. His role will encompass all business clusters and brands.
 
Karan Abhishek Singh, currently CEO, Hindi news cluster, has been given a wider mandate. He is also handling revenue, ratings, and reputation for the cluster.
 
Smriti Mehra, CEO, English news cluster, will also oversee revenue, ratings and reputation of the portfolio. 
 
Similarly, Mitul Sangani, CEO, regional news cluster, will now be responsible for revenue, ratings, and reputation for all regional television news channels. Sangani will also drive growth for Local18.
 
The network has also announced the appointment of Pranav Bakshi. He has joined as head of partnerships, focusing on creating new opportunities for audience growth and monetisation across platforms. He moved from Times Network, where he was SVP and head, digital video, strategy, partnerships and marketing.
 
This leadership team will report to Avinash Kaul and Puneet Singhvi, the co-owners of 'One Network18.'
