Mahendra Bhagat appointed NCD in charge of South at FCB Ulka
FCB Ulka Group has announced the appointment of Mahendra Bhagat as national creative director supporting the agency’s South offices, based in Bengaluru.

He was with VP and creative head at JWT Mumbai in his last advertising assignment, before pursuing art full-time.

Nitin Karkare, CEO, FCB Ulka, said, “I am delighted to have an exceptional talent like Mahendra on board. He is a heady mix of creative, business acumen [he headed an office for a few years] and team building. These are exciting times for us and having Mahendra with us is just what we need to propel us ahead.”

Swati Bhattacharya, CCO, FCB Ulka, said, “By his own admission, advertising is his first love and he couldn’t stay away from it too long. We are fortunate that he has chosen to do his comeback with us. Mahendra is a powerhouse of talent and I am sure we can look forward to some path breaking work under his leadership.”

On his new role, Bhagat said, “Advertising has always been influenced by other art forms, from cinema, literature, theatre, folk art to paintings, installations etc…in my second innings I would like to bring in some new practices that I followed while exploring art in its pure form. And it’s great to be part of the dynamic team that is working towards creating a new avatar of FCB Ulka.”

In two decades in advertising, Bhagat also worked with SSC & B, Enterprise, Clarion and Lintas in multiple cities.
