Loop Mobile hires Sandip Basu as CEO

Sandip Basu has joined Loop Mobile and Loop Telecom as CEO. Basu joins Loop Mobile from XCEL Telecom, where he was the MD and CEO. Basu has worked with the BPL Mobile Group from 1997 to 2005 in various capacities, his last role at the Group was as executive director and CEO. He has significant experience in the telecom industry, having worked with Fascel Limited, Bharti Telecom and Apollo Tyres.

Loop Mobile hires Sandip Basu as CEO

Sandip Basu has joined Loop Mobile and Loop Telecom as CEO. Basu joins Loop Mobile from XCEL Telecom, where he was the MD and CEO.

Basu has worked with the BPL Mobile Group from 1997 to 2005 in various capacities, his last role at the Group was as executive director and CEO. He has significant experience in the telecom industry, having worked with Fascel Limited, Bharti Telecom and Apollo Tyres.

Basu will be in charge to lead the national launch of Loop Telecom and further strengthen the position of Loop Mobile in Mumbai. It may be recalled that BPL Mobile underwent a brand name change exercise to Loop Mobile recently. Loop Mobile’s subsidiary Loop Telecom launched pan India operations under Loop Mobile in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Orissa recently.
