Kyoorius DesignYatra back in Goa this year

Kyoorius DesignYatra returns to Goa this year, with the theme: "Next: What to expect in the field of digital, design, branding and visual communications?"

Last year's edition was held in Mumbai.

The line-up of speakers this year includes American graphic designer David Carson, Dutch book designer Irma Boom; digital strategist and once described as the "Godfather of Guerilla (Marketing)" Mark Chalmers, founder, Perfect Fools; author of ‘How to be a graphic designer without losing your soul’ and independent publisher Adrian Shaughnessy; the founding trio of experiential design agency Troika Eva Rucki, Conny Freyer and Sebastien Noel; founding
director at disruptive agency Anomaly Johnny Vulkan; founder and lead creative director at UK-based agency Devilfish Richard Holman, radio show host Liza Enebis (more popularly known as Loveliza); johnson bank's Michael Johnson; British installation designer Peter Higgins; and architect Sandeep Khosla.

In addition, DesignYatra will be screening the edited version of a film on the life and times of iconic design couple Lella and Massimo Vignelli ‘Design is One - The
Vignellis’, directed and produced by Kathy Brew and Richard Guerra.

Commenting on what can be expected this year, Bindu Nair Maitra, editor, Kyoorius Design, said, "Kyoorius DesignYatra has served as a valuable meeting point for agencies in India and abroad in the sphere of design, branding and visual communications. The conference has served as an opportunity to understand and learn from some of the finest minds in the design and branding field, delve into their creative process and be inspired by their work. Kyoorius DesignYatra has attracted a cumulative audience of more than 8500 delegates over the last five years and we expect to host a delegate strength of 1400 for the 2011 edition."

She added, "For 2011, in association with Addikt, we have started a Tumblr blog called Road to DesignYatra which could be termed as a virtual road-trip. It is an attempt to document our annual journey as we prep up for India's biggest design conference. On the blog, we are producing content from past and present speakers, past delegates and veterans from the field of design and advertising who have been a part of past editions, in an attempt to curate the DesignYatra story."
