Goafest 2023: EssenceMediaCom takes home 'Media Agency of the Year' title
EssenceMediaCom bagged the 'Media Agency of the Year' during the Media Abbys on day one of Goafest 2023.
 
The agency won a total of 20 metals, which comprised a Grand Prix, four Gold, nine Silver and six Bronze.
 
The Grand Prix came for Whisper's 'The Missing Chapter' in the 'Innovative Use of Out of Home' category. The entry also won a Gold. The agency's other Gold wins were for Google (Tapping Twitter to educate users on online safety), Coca-Cola (Let's not just greet, but meet this Diwali) and Thums Up (Dekho Wicket se Cricket).
 
Mindshare finished second on the agency tally with a total of six Gold, five Silver and seven Bronze metals. Two Gold wins came for Dove (one each for Thumbstopping Beauty Biases and Stop the Beauty Test). The agency won a Gold each for Bru (Happiness starts with a cup of Bru), Kwality Walls (Trixy Cinegame - 3 Layers of Fun), Shikhar (Unilever's B2B app reaches a new Shikhar) and Star Sports (RJ Off-Air, IPL on-air). Mindshare Bangladesh also won Gold for 'Rin: My Name, My Identity).
 
Madison Media was third among the winners list, with 11 metals. The agency won four Gold, four Silver and three Bronze. The Gold wins came for Asian Paints (Sreshth Pradhan 2.0), Go Cheese (Anupama and the Go Cheese Factory - the eight minute-long brand integration in daily soap), Blue Star (Blue Star Water Purifier Cresto becomes #1 product on Best Sellers on Amazon) and Vicco (The Content Connection - How Bridging Gaps and Helpling Users Led to 2X the SEO Love).
 
Initiatve Media bagged two Gold, two Silver and six Bronze wins. The Gold wins came for Amazon Prime Video (Aaj ki taza khabar sidhe Jilla Phulera Se) and OnePlus (Unboxing Reinvented: OnePLus' innovative print campaign for the 11R launch).
 
Lodestar UM also won two Gold metals. The Gold wins were for Mahindra (Demand Forecaster) and Agency Research (CEFF - a tool for celebrity endorsement planning). The agency also bagged a Silver and two Bronze wins.
 
Omnicom Media Group (Mercedes-Benz), Social Panga (Manipal Hospitals), Sociowash (Century Ply), Wavemaker (Luminous), White Rivers Media (Astral Foundation) and Xperia Group (Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza) were also among the Gold winners.
