DisneyUTV Digital brings in Paul Wrider for game design

DisneyUTV Digital has appointed Paul Wrider as director – game design. In a newly created position, Wrider will be based in Mumbai, and will lead the game design team and be responsible for developing new IPs.

On the appointment, Vishal Gondal, managing director – digital, DisneyUTV, said, “We believe in leveraging technology to provide our users with engaging content to enhance their digital experience and we are constantly exploring new opportunities to build on that legacy. With Paul’s extensive experience and knowledge in game designing and the global gaming industry overall, we will be able to develop new gaming IPs and add to our existing popular titles across mobile platforms.”

Wrider said, “It’s great to be associated with DisneyUTV Digital. They have a legacy of popular game titles across mobile and social platforms known globally. I am excited to be a part of this enthusiastic team and look forward to adding some exciting game titles in the coming months.”

Wrider has behind him over 10 years of experience in the gaming industry. Prior to this, Wrider was the lead game designer at FunMobility Inc., a social mobile entertainment company based in USA.
