The agency saw a lot of people and accounts move. It appointed Amrita Chugh as senior partner for the Bangalore office and S Narasimhan as senior partner for the Chennai office. Some of the other appointments included Rajendran Nair as brand design director, Madhusudan Rhenius, Navin Harish, Sayed Naushad and M.P Nicholson as brand strategy directors and Archana Kotadia, Sujit Inamdar and Kuldeep Sharma as senior brand strategy directors. It lost brand design directors Arindam Sengupta and Darayas Bacha.
It scooped creative businesses of Air Freight, Birla Tyres, Dell Computers, Hutchison 3 Global Services, Lotte India, Suzuki Scooters and Motorcycles, My FM, UTV Movies. It could not retain the Sara Lee and Aircel businesses. 
RK Swamy BBDO announced the online version of its HR division, HRDirectionOnline.com. The agency also launched the updated version of its Media Market Guide.
Keeping with the agency’s DNA, awards has not been a focus, but steady delivery for their clients has ensured that most have been retained.
