This year Pickle Lintas saw the exit of its president Sumeet Chatterjee, who was also one of the founding members of the agency. The agency roped in another IPG resource in the form of Kevin D’souza who joined from Lowe Lintas to take on the role of the president. It’s been steady sailing so far. The agency has expanded its creative team with the appointment of three new creative directors. Nationally in terms of team strength, it claims to have grown by 20%. The new hires will help service the slew of mid-sized businesses which made their way to the agency in its second year of operations. Amongst the key accounts won this year was that of Volvo, telecom player Maxx Communications amongst others. The awards brought some cheer as the agency won two golds at the Mirchi Kaan awards. Besides winning an award at the Dainik Bhaskar Dry Ideas initiative, it also won the global award for SAB TV (brand excellence in media and entertainment) at the World Brand Congress.

In a very challenging year for business, Pickle has taken bold steps in a rebranding exercise, hiring people, shifting offices and setting up new business verticals. This has come on the back of winning several large businesses against more established and larger agencies. The year 2009 has been a year of rapid change. From a new office in Gurgaon to hiring three creative directors and several other executives across branches to setting up direct marketing and brand properties business verticals, Pickle has done it all. Pickle has rebranded itself to Pickle Lintas from Pickle Advertising and in the process of all this change, made in-roads into big MNC companies, winning Volvo, Beverage Partners Worldwide and large Indian accounts like Dabur Vatika beauty shampoos, Canara Bank, Jaypee Constructions, Maxx Communications, an international media representation of Ideas United of Oman.
