TVS Tyres rides humour, gets Kapil Sharma to deliver durability promise

Watch the ad films conceptualised by Rediffusion Y&R here

TVS Tyres has rolled out a campaign that features comedian Kapil Sharma. Conceptualised by Rediffusion Y&R, the campaign includes four TVCs, two of which are on air.

The films feature Sharma riding a bike, and helping people by offering them a drop.

One of the films features a young man with a bouquet of flowers looking for a means to commute. Sharma learns that he's late for a date, and offers to drop him. On the way, Sharma asks whether it's his first girlfriend he's going to meet. The young man reveals that it's his fourth girlfriend, and that the relationship lasted just five months. The one before her, too, lasted just as long, learns a shocked Sharma. Corresponding to each shocking revelation, the bike hits a tough patch, but the TVS Tyres manage to ride over potholes, puddles and a stony stretch. On arriving at the destination, Sharma highlights how important it is to have things or relationships that are long-lasting, just like TVS Tyres. He leaves him with the message: "Girlfriend hai toh TVS Tyre jaisa – totally tikao."

Another film features Sharma dropping a man to his interview, and follows a similar storyline.

P Vijayaraghavan, director, TVS Srichakra, said, “With this TVC, we are ushering in a new era. Customer connect has always been our primary motto and we are glad we have Mr. Kapil Sharma to take forward this message with his charm and humour. Durability is the key attribute that we wish to bring out very strongly through the TVC."
