Five Indian entries shortlisted at the Midas Awards for financial advertising

Indian agencies have bagged five shortlists at the Midas Awards 2013 for financial advertising. Three of the five shortlists have gone to M&C Saatchi Direct and Digital Communications, while JWT Mumbai has bagged two shortlists.

M&C Saatchi's shortlisted entries are for Birla Sun Life Insurance's 'Karva Chauth' campaign, Aditya Birla's 'Hastakshar Mudra' and Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund's 'Laxmi Papad' in the 'Direct Mail/Collateral' category.

JWT Mumbai's entries that made the cut was also for work on Aditya Birla Group’s financial services brands. It’s entry Birla Sun Life Insurance 'Death Track' in the Public Service category and its work for Birla Sun Life Wealth With Protection Solutions (Even Gods Can Feel Insecure) in the Insurance category are among shortlists.

International shortlists

The United States leads the number of shortlists at the Midas Awards with 61. South Africa follows with 24 shortlisted entries and Turkey comes in third with 12.

On the judging process, Alisun Armstrong, executive director, Midas Awards, said, “This year marked the Midas Awards first live, collaborative judging session - which, combined with online judging sessions, allowed entries to be reviewed by prominent client and agency leaders around the globe, the people who set the standard for financial marketing excellence. The choices of a jury of this caliber provide a true worldview of the best of advertising and corporate communications in the international financial community and reveal the creativity and innovation demonstrated in this very specific market.”
