Google Search fuses slices of life with humour, underlines relevance

Watch the ad films conceptualised by Lowe Lintas here

Google has rolled out a campaign consisting of three films to showcase the ease of use of its app on mobile. The campaign has been conceptualised by Lowe Lintas.

The film (above) is set around a surprise party a young woman and her brother are throwing for their parents. As the girl is out with the parents shopping, she calls her sibling about the state of affairs at home, where the party is being arranged. The boy asks for two hours more. As soon as he says so, he drops the cake as he's struck by confetti. He quickly changes his time estimate to three hours. The girl hangs up, and is seen instantly using the Google app for movie times to keep the parents busy as the preparations at home continue. The film ends with the super, 'Answers made easy with the Google app'.

Another film opens on a musical night. As the group of musicians are set to play their next track, a waiter gives them a paper with a song suggestion from the hosts. Even though they don't know the lyrics of the song, they don't disappoint as they Google the lyrics  of 'DJ Waley Babu'. They sing it out of tune though, and that's to the dismay of the child who made the suggestion, but to the delight of the other onlookers.

Another film shows a customer visiting a tailor's shop. As he's talking on the phone with suggestions for what needs to be written on a wedding card, he simultaneously tries to explain the kind of sherwani he wants to the tailor. He keeps whispering Bajirao to him, but is unable to complete his request as he's busy on the phone. When he's done with the call, he opens the Google app to show him pictures from the movie to indicate the kind of sherwani he wants.
