BharatMatrimony has rolled out a new film that urges users to look beyond family and friends when it comes to finding the 'perfect match'. The film has been conceptualised by What's Your Problem Brand Solutions.

A family is ready to celebrate someone's birthday at home. The protagonist is showing another young woman something on a laptop. The duo are interrupted when the protagonist's uncle and aunt appear. The man urges them to quickly join him and his wife for cutting the cake. The protagonist compliments her aunt and tells her that she hopes that 'Kisi ki nazar na lage' (She stays clear of evil eyes). The aunt retorts with wordplay on the word nazar, and asks her niece if she has anyone in mind for her sister, to get married to. After a light exchange between the four, the protagonist tells her aunt that if she only looks for a suitable groom in her group of friends and family, it won't be enough. She tells her to forget 'nazar' and change her 'nazariya' (views). As the lady looks on, confused, her niece shows her a list of profiles on Bharatmatrimony.com.

Kaushik Tiwari, head - marketing, BharatMatrimony, said, "We have always been looking for ways to make BharatMatrimony more and more relevant to today’s youth who want to choose their life partner themselves but the involvement of their parents in the process is also important to them. While you can get caught up in your circle of friends and relatives to find the perfect match, there’s a much easier and a more effective way of making sure that your child ends up with the absolute perfect match for him/her. Thus making BharatMatrimony the enabler to find the perfect match. We wanted to make a film that’s modern but yet real, coming from a true human insight.”

Huzefa Roowala, director - creative and content, WYP, said, "Marriage is an important part of every individual’s life and to choose the right life partner is all the more important to have a happy married life. When we embark on our journey to find the ‘Perfect’ partner we always entrust our close group of family and friends to find a perfect match for us. But what if your 'Perfect' match is not in their nazar? Will you settle for less? Our parents always begin their hunt for our better half by saying, ‘Hamare bete ke liye koi nazar main ho to batana.’ When we first thought of it, we realised it was such a perfect fit that we knew that we needed to change the nazariya! Looking for a match online broadens your spectrum and gives you more options to choose from."
