Insurance, in particular the advertising for life insurance, is usually considered as no laughing matter. However, in Ogilvy & Mather’s new commercials for Aegon Religare, there’s a bit of dark humour to be found.
Following a multi-agency pitch, Religare Enterprises Limited (REL), the diversified financial services group, has selected Ogilvy as its communication and brand partner. The agency search process lasted over two months and culminated with Ogilvy’s appointment on October 1. Ogilvy’s creative responsibilities will be for all companies that fall under the Religare umbrella including Religare Voyages, Religare Technova and Religare Macquarie. However, the healthcare business like SRL Diagnostics and Religare Wellness will continue to be looked after by Arms Communications.
