WhatsApp launches a global security center

Aims to strengthen its commitment to user safety

WhatsApp launches a global security center
WhatsApp has rolled out a global security centre, which aims to serve as an offering for users to learn more about how to protect themselves against spammers and unwanted contact.

For this, WhatsApp has created a page to build awareness about the various safety measures and in-built product features.

With these offerings, users will be able to take charge of their safety.

The Security Center will be available in English and ten Indian languages, including Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi, Urdu and Gujarati.

The offering aspires to protect a user's messages with end-to-end encryption. A two-step verification, protection from scams, and group controls will be available through this centre.
