Sports on TV: Winter Olympics, NBA and some cricket at Eden Gardens

Its winter Olympics time, as a long weekend filled with a variety of sporting action awaits us.To start the weekend on early Friday morning there’s the must win 3rd ODI for West Indies against Australia. The match is live on STAR Cricket at 8:50 am.There’s NBA action too. STAR Sports will telecast the San Antonio versus Denver Nuggets game at 9:00 am on Friday.

Its winter Olympics time, as a long weekend filled with a variety of sporting action awaits us.

To start the weekend on early Friday morning there’s the must win 3rd ODI for West Indies against Australia. The match is live on STAR Cricket at 8:50 am.

There’s NBA action too. STAR Sports will telecast the San Antonio versus Denver Nuggets game at 9:00 am on Friday.

On Friday afternoon, then there’s the local golf tournament, the Avantha masters to look forward to. If you can’t make it to New Delhi, you can catch all the action on STAR Sports at 2:30 pm.

On early Saturday morning tune into ESPN to catch the opening ceremony for the winter Olympics in Vancouver. The ceremony starts at 7:25 am. Catch day one of the Olympics later on, as action begins at 11:00 pm, also on ESPN.

Come Sunday, India will begin battle to retain its number one spot in Test cricket. The action from Eden Gardens, Kolkata starts at 9:30 am live on NEO Cricket.

In other cricket action on Sunday there’s the 4th ODI between Australia and the West Indies. That’s live from 8:50 am on STAR Cricket.
