Rediffusion Y&R appoints Chattopadhyay as Mumbai planning head

Rediffusion – Y&R has named Saumya Chattopadhyay (pictured) as planning head - Mumbai. He will report to Arvind Mohan, group chief strategy officer and to Nisha Singhania, executive vice president, Rediffusion – Y&R, Mumbai. Chattopadhyay comes in from Milk +Co. DDB International Kuala Lumpur where he was head of planning.

Rediffusion – Y&R has named Saumya Chattopadhyay (pictured) as planning head - Mumbai. He will report to Arvind Mohan, group chief strategy officer and to Nisha Singhania, executive vice president, Rediffusion – Y&R, Mumbai. Chattopadhyay comes in from Milk +Co. DDB International Kuala Lumpur where he was head of planning. 

He began his career with Concept Communications, Mumbai. After that, he has worked with agencies like Saatchi & Saatchi - London, DDB - Kuala Lumpur, O&M - Mumbai, JWT - Delhi, Euro RSCG - Mumbai and Vyas Giannetti - Mumbai. He has worked on brands like Pepsi, Bharti Walmart, Volkswagen, Izuzu, Unilever, BBC World, Aditya Birla Group, Reckitt Benckiser and Sony Entertainment Television.

Commenting on the appointment,  Mohan said, “The hiring of Saumya is a reflection of the kind of diversity we want to bring into our thinking system, his eclectic journey which spans across geographies, industries and agencies gives him a natural fluency with the very materials we use to create with.”
