Ramon Chibb to head content and programming for NGC, Fox History

National Geographic Channel India (NGC) has appointed Ramon Chibb as senior vice president – content. Starting June 15, 2010, Ramon will be in charge of all conceptualization, content creation and programming at both National Geographic Channels and Fox History and Entertainment.

National Geographic Channel India (NGC) has appointed Ramon Chibb as senior vice president – content. Starting June 15, 2010, Ramon will be in charge of all conceptualization, content creation and programming at both National Geographic Channels and Fox History and Entertainment.

With a career spanning over two decades, Ramon has spent 15 years in field of media. He was the founding director and partner at QRT Productions. Prior to joining NGC, Ramon was VP - head of content and operations, UTV Bindass and before that he was VP - head of content, new media at Zee Telefilms.

"Ramon brings with him hands-on experience and an in-depth understanding of the television industry in both niche and mass segments. We look forward to take advantage of his strengths to get more diverse & engaging content for both the channels," said Keertan Adyanthaya, MD, Fox International Channels India.

"I am extremely excited about this role. This is an incredibly strong and dynamic line-up of channels and my primary focus will be to keep up and better the rich and varied content for both the channels," said Chibb, commenting on his appointment.

Ramon has produced and directed AR Rahman Unplugged a show which was a curtain raiser to kick-start Doordarshan's Golden Jubilee celebrations. The show featured AR Rahman along with Hariharan, Kailash Kher, Sivamani, Sadhana Sargam and Andria.

Chibb has also produced and directed Mission Navy for National Geographic Channel India, wherein he not only helped the channel partner with the Indian Navy but also assisted in the execution of the entire show.
