Events and Experiential Marketing awards call for entries

Eventfaqs has called for entries for the first edition of the Events and Experiential Marketing awards. The last date for submitting the entries is January 31, 2009. The awards will take place on March 6.
Entries are invited in a total of 28 categories for the inaugural edition.  The jury is being chaired by Ramesh Natarajan, deputy country head, Couth Asia, DHL Express. The other members of the jury include Kaushik Roy, president, brand strategy and marketing comm., Reliance Industries; Vikram Malhotra, GM-marketing, Kingfisher Airlines; Sanjay Tripathy, EVP and head-marketing, HDFC Standard Life; Shivaraj Subramaniam, head-brand strategy and planning, Madura Garments; Ankush Arora, VP-marketing, sales and after sales, General Motors India; Ranju K Mohan, VP-sales and marketing, Henkel India; Raja Ganapathy, VP-marketing, Sequoia Capital; Sanjeev Goyle, sr. VP-marketing (FEM), Mahindra & Mahindra; and Chetan Gupta, head-marketing (India), Asia Pacific Breweries.
In terms of what the awards should achieve, Ramesh Natarajan, jury chair, said, “Two things, essentially. One is the recognition of the skill sets and the hard work and efforts put behind these campaigns. It’s not just about the ideas - a lot of effort goes into the execution. Secondly, we need a showcase of what’s good out there. Today, we don’t have a good repository of what’s good out there in the events or on-ground promotions space. We see multiple promotions of brands across various media. I would love to see 100 things, put up the best, and say, ‘I wish I could have done that’.”
