Campaign India Adland Predictions: ICC World Cup 2011

We bring you the second series of the Campaign India ICC World Cup Predictions.

Saturday: Australia vs Sri Lanka

Prashant Singh:
For this match, my money is on Australia, on the back of two solid performances. Watson and Johnson will be the key players for Australia, Mallinga fit and firing all cylinders, plus Sri Lanka playing at home (Murli and Mendes will be key) Sri Lanka  are under pressure to  deliver (against a top team) after losing to Pakistan. The pressure at home could get to them!

Anant Rangaswami:
This will be close; both teams have big game temperament. I think Brett Lee and home ground pressure will get to Sri Lanka. I'll say the Aussies win.

Hiren Pandit:

I shall back the Australia team on this one. They have genuine pace bowlers in Brett Lee and Shaun Tait, which will give them a definite edge.

Sunday: England vs South Africa

Prashant Singh:

One of the BIG ones of the tournament, I am going with South Africa. England does not have the bowling to defend even a 300, see what happened with Ireland.

Anant Rangaswami:

I'll go with England on this one. While England's bowling seems weak, their batting can see them through.

Hiren Pandit:

I am going to go with South Africa on this match. They have a definite edge over England, they are playing very well at the moment and England’s defeat to Ireland has hit them badly.

Sunday: India vs Ireland

Prashant Singh:

India. Period! Or maybe not, after an amazing display by Ireland, but I will be patriotic on this one, sorry.

Anant Rangaswami:

India will blow them away. Ireland has had the five minutes in the sun.
