AdAsia 2011 to discuss 'The New Certainty'

'The New Certainty' will be the theme of AdAsia 2011, which will be held in New Delhi from October 31 to November 3, 2011. The theme and logo were unveiled at an event in the capital yesterday by Madhukar Kamath, group chief executive officer and managing director – Mudra Group and chairman of AdAsia 2011. Ashish Bagga (chief executive officer, Living Media India Ltd), Bhaskar Das (executive president, The Times of India Group) and Uday Shankar (chief executive officer, STAR India Pvt Ltd.) were also present at the occasion.

Kamath explained, "Post the financial tsunami, the restructuring, and the new geo-political sitiation, there's a new focus on Asia: it has 60 percent of the population, three of the top 10 emerging economies are here, and it constitutes about 40-50 per cent of global growth in thelast couple of years. There's a new paradigm as far as Asia is concerned, and the one thing that is certain is uncertainty."

He added, "Brands are on an experimental spree through multi-layered communication channels right from Twitter, Facebook to mobiles andmicro-blogging as the new evolving channels. Mastering this ever-evolving operating environment and its impact on business is gaining critical significance to long-term sustainability. We believe that AdAsia 2011 will not only chronicle the changes but also provide a glimpse of impending opportunities and challenges.”

Kamath also announced the Advisory Board of AdAsia 2011. The Advisory Board is chaired by Anand Mahindra (vice chairman and managing director, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd). The Board comprises of industry leaders andchief executive officers such as Aroon Purie  (chairman and editor in chief, The India Today Group), Kurush Grant (executive director, ITC Ltd), Manu Anand (chairman and chief executive officer designate - India Region, PepsiCoIndia Holdings Pvt.
