Acer hands Contract creative mandate

Contract Advertising has won the creative mandate for PC and laptop maker Acer, following a multi-agency pitch. The account will be handled by the agency's Bengaluru office. Prior to this, BBH handled the business.

Harish K Kohli, managing director, Acer India, said, “We are extremely happy to announce the appointment of Contract, chosen through a competitive evaluation process, as our new creative agency. In Contract, we have found an agency that can resonate the ethos and values of the Acer brand.”

“As our new creative partners, we are confident they will help us execute our goal of moving towards a new strategic direction highlighting a new innovative design philosophy, industry-redefining products with cutting edge technology and well planned market expansion. With strong creative capabilities, planning strength and a team with vast and varied experiences, Contract demonstrated a deep understanding of the market, including the opportunities and the challenges we face. We welcome them on board and look forward to working on some great campaigns together,” he added.

Rana Barua, COO, Contract India, said, “Acer is a very prestigious brand win for us as it is not only a leading player globally, but also one of the most innovative. We are excited to work with a brand like Acer, which embarks on a challenging future in a highly competitive environment. The category is very dynamic and is going through a paradigm shift. The integrated approach that Contract adopted yet again demonstrated our strength and expertise which clients are clearly seeing as the differentiated and visible edge over other agencies.”
