PepsiCo has rolled out its latest TVC for 7UP Nimbooz Masala Soda titled, ‘let’s do the chatpataka’ to showcase its latest offering. The film features brand ambassador Anushka Sharma. The film has been conceptualised by BBDO India. The film went on-air on March 27.

The film begins at a wedding ceremony where everyone is too shy to dance. A young woman is seen coaxing a relative to dance but he is reluctant and does a clumsy ‘No No’ hand gesture. The film then cuts to Sharma holding a bottle of masala soda, telling the audience that they needs to spice this party up. She is then seen imitating the hand gesture made by the relative and making that into a dance step. Buoyed by Sharma’s enthusiasm he and everyone begin to enjoy this unknown dance move.

The film ends with Sharma saying, “I feel up.”

Ruchira Jaitly, senior director- marketing (social beverages), PepsiCo India said,“7UP Nimbooz Masala Soda believes that each one of us is naturally unique and original in our own way, and by being our natural self we can make the world cheerful. The new campaign ‘Let’s do the Chatpataka’ celebrates this philosophy with Anushka, who truly personifies the real Indian Chatpataka.”

Sandipan Bhattacharyya, executive creative director, BBDO India, said, "Everyone is awesome in their own way and you can spread cheer by doing what comes to you naturally. In the film that comes out through the device of transforming a person’s shy reluctance into a groovy ‘No-No’ dance move. We wanted Vikas and Sneha to add their own authentic style to the film to make it an eclectic, chatpataka mix!"
