Nokia captures the different moments of Diwali

Watch the film conceptualised by McCann Worldgroup India here

Nokia has rolled out its Diwali campaign featuring recently appointed brand ambassador Alia Bhatt.

The film has been conceptualised by McCann Worldgroup India. It shows Bhatt capturing different moments on Diwali night using her Nokia phone. It signs off with its range of smartphones powered by Android One.

Ajey Mehta, VP and country head – India, HMD Global, said, “We are really excited to have Alia Bhatt as the face of Nokia phones. She is one of the brightest stars of Bollywood and it’s great to have her on board with us. Her commitment to her work coupled with her perfection in her craft of acting, is in alignment with our approach to mobile making. I am confident that in the coming together of Nokia phones and Alia Bhatt, we will further enhance the excitement around our new launches for our fans."

He added, "The young generation is relied upon by their loved ones for so many things that they do with just a few clicks on their phones – from paying a bill to capturing memories. This insight is at the core of our campaign and helps make Nokia phones relevant for these young consumers.”

Alok Lall, executive director, McCann Worldgroup, said, “Usually Diwali is seen as a festival for the older generations of a family, rife with traditions and cultural customs. And often, the younger millennials are relegated to a supporting role. But the reality is that the youth are the ones on whom every other generation relies to make this festival more fun and entertaining. Who else does mom turn to for the perfect family selfies? Who else makes Diwali memes go viral? Who else brings even the farthest flung family together on a video call? With our campaign, we intend to highlight the special role that this younger generation plays in making the festival special for everyone.”

The film is currently on-air.
