'Irresistible' Pepsi moves to the NFL, causes an arm-wrestling encounter between teammates

Watch the ad film conceptualised by J. Walter Thompson here

Pepsi has rolled out a film that extends its 'Pepsi thi yaar, pi gaya' (It was Pepsi, I drank it) thought that was first rolled out in 2015. The film has been conceptualised by J. Walter Thompson.

It opens in a locker room. Players are shown cooling down after a NFL game. Among them are two team-mates who embrace each other with hugs and then look towards a refrigerator. The warmth between them comes to a sudden halt as there's only one bottle of Pepsi in the refrigerator. The duo take each other on in an arm-wrestling bout as the rest of their teammates surround them to cheer them on. A man walks into the encounter and joins the cheering squad. While doing so he spots the bottle of Pepsi and is lured by it.

Oblivious to the reason for the arm-wrestling encounter, the man starts drinking the Pepsi. As the encounter ends, the winner of the arm-wrestling challenge turns towards the bottle of Pepsi, only to see it missing. He spots the man drinking it. The winner of the challenge and the rest of the team look on at the man, who whispers 'Pepsi thi pi gaya' to two of his mates.

The film was published on YouTube on 9 February 2017.
