Cadbury Dairy Milk sparks spontaneous jig, promises to further friendship

Watch the ad film conceptualised by Ogilvy & Mather here

Cadbury Dairy Milk has rolled out an ad film as part of its Badhti dosti (Growing friendship) campaign. The ad film has been conceptualised by Ogilvy & Mather.

The ad film, set in what comes across a small town, sees a young woman standing on a balcony, a bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate in hand. She overlooks a wedding baraat (procession) passing by on the street below, enjoying the music. An older lady (whom she calls maami-ji or aunty) joins her. The younger woman fidgets with the saree’s pallu and covers her shoulder as a mark of respect. She offers a bit of the chocolate to the older woman and they both subtly begin grooving to the music. Cut to the action on the street below: both the women find space to display their dance moves, uninhibited. The groom finally politely gestures for the women to give way and the women make their way back hand in hand, grinning widely. The film ends with a super and a voice over saying, “Badhti dosti ke naam, Kuch meetha ho jaaye”.
