Kawal Shoor, head of planning at Ogilvy & Mather Mumbai, was Campaign Asia's account planner of the year for India & The Subcontinent. In this discussion with Campaign India, he talked about the various facets of planning in India - including where it is, and where it's going. He also had an interesting take on the kind of planners he would like to get into the profession: "My dream, and my endeavour, has been to get more and more diverse talent into the fraternity. We're not hiring investigative journalists or social psychologists. We're still hiring from the standard areas," he said.
