iris India has appointed Anirban Sen as creative director. Sen joins from Law & Kenneth, where he has been the chief creative officer for north and east offices since 2010.

Ashish Mathur, managing director, iris India, said, “An effective creative product is what iris believes in. It is great to have Anirban on board to uphold this high standard and it is testament to the strength of the iris brand across Asia that we are attracting the highest levels of talent like this.”

Terming India an ‘an incredibly dynamic and important market’ for iris, Grant Hunter, regional creative director, Asia Pacific, iris Worldwide, added, “I'm looking forward to working with Ban (Anirban) as we push our creative output to new heights.”

Sen’s 17-year career in advertising spans agencies such as TBWA, McCann Erickson, Grey, Lowe and Saatchi & Saatchi.

At iris, he will work on clients such as Sony Mobile, Coca-Cola, Shell, Dell and the newly acquired Alere.

The agency picked up the Alere account following a multi-agency pitch, and will handle all ATL and BTL services including digital for the launch of the healthcare provider in India, it said in a statement. Alere will launch two services in India: Alere Mind and Body and Alere Centre for Care.

On joining iris, Sen said, “They have a great portfolio of brands and internationally they are pioneering some incredibly mindblowing stuff in the integrated domain. That’s where the future lies and I want to be there.”
