Cannes Lions 2017: 41 shortlists for India on day two

India continued its bullish run at the Cannes Lions as shortlists for Cyber, Glass, Outdoor, PR, Promo & Activation, Print & Publishing were announced this morning.

Glass Lions Lions

Company of Design New Delhi's entry 'Safe Houses' for Plan India is in contention. 
 
L&K Saatchi & Saatchi's 'GiveHer5' for 'The Ammada Trust' is also in contention. 

Print and Publishing Lions

India has nine shortlists in this category. Seven of these belong to McCann. All of these are for the World for All campaign.
 
DDB Mudra Group Mumbai and The Social Street also have one each. 
 
DDB's shortlist is for the entry 'Indian Mythologoy' for Penguin Random House. 
 
The Social Street's 'Farewell-Father' for Antim Yatra Funeral Services is also in contention.
 
Promo & Activation Lions
 
There were ten shortlists in this category. 
 
Ogilvy & Mather and Leo Burnett have three shortlists each in this category. 
 
Ogilvy has two shortlists for Savlon Healthy Hands Chalk Sticks and one for 'Wear Her Name' for Star Network. 
 
Leo Burnett's 'Roads that Honk' for HPCL have three shortlists too. 
 
Taproot Dentsu's 'Adidas Odds' have two shortlists.
 
J. Walter Thompson's 'My Daughter Will' for Haiyya NGO has a shortlists as does Medulla Communications for 'Last Laugh' for IAPC.
 
PR Lions
 
Ogilvy & Mather and Leo Burnett have two shortlists each in this category among seven Indian shortlists totally.
 
Both of Ogilvy's shortlists are for 'Savlon Healthy Hands Chalk Sticks' for ITC.
 
Leo Burnett's 'Roads that honk' for HPCL and 'Salaam Loans' for Tata Capital are also in contention.
 
BBDO's '#ReleaseThePressure' for Mirinda is also in contention.
 
Medulla Communications' 'Last Laugh' for IAPC and McCann Health's 'Immunity Charm' for Ministry of Public Health, Islamic Republic of Aghanistan are also in the running. 

Outdoor Lions

Leading the list was India's showing in Outdoor where the country got 13 shortlists. McCann Worldgroup was leading the pack with five of the shortlists for the World For All (Animal Care and  Adoptions). 

This was followed by Ogilvy & Mather, Mumbai with four shortlists on KFC 'add hope', Savlon Healthy Hands Chalk Sticks and Pernod Ricard's 100 Pipers, and Rediffusion, Y & R with three shortlists for Eveready Waterproof Torches. 

Leo Burnett's 'Road that honk' have a shortlist in this category too.
