Myntra makes bold statement, breaks through clutter

Watch the film conceptualised by Ogilvy & Mather here

Myntra has rolled out a film titled ‘The visit’ as part of its Bold and Beautiful campaign. Conceptualised by Ogilvy & Mather, the film talks about the so called ‘social taboo’ of homosexuality and has been created for the women's ethnic wear brand, Anouk.

The film titled, ‘The visit’, opens with a young woman getting ready in anticipation of her parents visit. The noise of the hairdryer wakes up the woman (roommate) sleeping on the sofa next to her. The roommate enquires about the blue dress worn by the first lady. She clarifies whether or not the first woman’s mother loves the colour orange. The first lady confirms this fact by saying that her mother 'loves orange'.

The two engage in light banter about coffee, with the first woman taunting her roommate about the quality of coffee she makes. As the roommate leaves the room to take a shower, the first woman receives a call from her father. They talk about their imminent arrival.  After straightening out the house, the first woman is joined by her roommate, who is wearing orange.

The roommate tells the first lady that she wants her mother to like her. As the first woman loving taunts her about the fact that her mother doesn’t like short hair, it is revealed that the two girls are in fact lovers. As they share a moment of love and jitters, the lady says that she does not want to hide their relationship anymore. Their moment is disrupted when they receive a call informing them that the parents have arrived.

The film ends with the two women walking out of the room together to receive the parents.
