Aircel captures the joy of voice calling, communicates offer

Watch the ad film conceptualised by DDB Mudra North

Aircel has rolled out a TVC that introduces its 'Aircel internet with voice calling' packs.

Conceptualised by DDB Mudra North, the film is based in an antique shop. It opens with a mother and daughter looking at things in the shop. The shopkeeper, an old man, tells the young girl 'No touching' when she plays with an old typewriter on display. Upon receiving a notification on his phone, he wishes a friend on his birthday on the social media channel. Almost immediately, he also calls the friend up and starts singing a Hindi song to wish him on his special day. A light-hearted exchange ensues between the shopkeeper and his embarrassed friend. The mother and daughter share a laugh at his changed and joyful demeanour. A voice over says, 'Connection aur bhi gehra ho jaata hai jab baat bhi ho jaati hai. Internet ke saath voice calling bhi. Aircel.' (The connection gets deeper if you end up speaking too. Voice calling with internet. Aircel.)

The film went live on the brand's social media channels on 8 August 2015.
