This Pride Month, White Rivers Media (WRM) intensified its efforts to support the LGBTQIA+ community and tackle contemporary challenges related to gender equality and inclusivity. Demonstrating its commitment to meaningful allyship, the agency launched a series of impactful initiatives, moving beyond mere tokenism.

WRM collaborated with the Keshav Suri Foundation, an NGO dedicated to uplifting marginalised communities, including LGBTQIA+ individuals, to address the critical issue of dating app scams targeting the pride community. Their social media campaign aimed to raise awareness, encourage support, and foster empathy for those affected by such scams.

To inspire and celebrate the community, WRM highlighted top LGBTQIA+ campaigns from around the world and created the 'Groove with Pride' Spotify playlist, featuring music by LGBTQIA+ artists globally.

Additionally, WRM hosted a panel discussion in association with The Quint on the topic of 'Pinkwashing,' scrutinising performative brand support for the LGBTQIA+ community. The discussion featured diverse perspectives from community members and allies, challenging superficial brand endorsements.

Shrenik Gandhi, co-founder and CEO of WRM, emphasised, “True support goes beyond a hashtag or surface-level gestures. At WRM, we are committed to creating an environment where diverse views are heard and addressed, bridging the gap between gender equality and gender equity.”

WRM's ongoing focus remains on three key pillars: fostering understanding within its organisation, addressing real-world challenges faced by the community, and amplifying diverse voices. The agency plans to continue promoting inclusion through impactful initiatives and open communication, both internally and externally.
