Spikes Asia 2012: Shortlists announced for remaining categories


Shortlists have been announced for the remaining categories at Spikes Asia 2012: Creative Effectiveness, Branded Content and Entertainment, Film, Film Craft, Integrated, and Print and Poster Craft. 

Creative Effectiveness

In this category, India received one shortlist of the total of five. BBDO India's 'Shavesutra' campaign for P&G's Gillette Mach3 Turbo Sensitive is in the running.


Branded content and entertainment

Scarecrow Communications has earned itself a shortlist for B'lue 'Reveal Yourself', the only Indian entry among 31 shortlisted.

Film

In Film, Taproot has been shortlisted for two of its films - Mumbai Mirror 'I am Mumbai', and Fox Movies' 'Cleavage'. Contract Advertising has a shortlist for 'Corruption' for Morphy Richards Juicers, while Bang Bang Films has one for IPL 'Carnival'. BBH's Google Chrome 'Tanjore', DDB Mudra Group's 'Deadman talking' for Consumer Education Research Centre, and RMG Gurgaon's 'Hiker' for Nokia are also in the running.

Film Craft

'I am Mumbai' is in the fray in four categories - Sound Direction, Cinematography, and Direction, where RDP is the entrant company, and in Script as well, where Taproot is the entrant company.

BBH India is shortlisted for Google Chrome 'Tanjore' in Best Use of Music and Art Direction (the production house is Studio Eeksaurus); and Good Morning Films is shortlisted for its work on TOI's 'A Day In The Life Of Kerala' in Editing and Best Use of Music (the agency is JWT in this case).

Bang Bang Films can hope to strike metal with the IPL 'Carnival' film (agency is Ogilvy). Contract has a shortlist in Sound Direction for 'Corruption' for Morphy Richards Juicers. Keroscene Films is in the fray for Best Use of Music for its IPL film 'Seats'. McCann Worldgroup's 'Leave the night behind' film for Chlormint is also in the reckoning.

Integrated

Of the 16 shortlisted entries in this category, two are from India; BBDO India for 'You Shave, I Shave' for Gillette Fusion; and Taproot for 'A Day In The Life Of India' for The Times of India.

Print and poster craft

There are 72 shortlists in this category, of which six are from India. Leo Burnett received two shortlists for its work for Bajaj Exhaust Fans; one each in the Art Direction and Photography sub-category. Taproot India received a shortlist each for its work for Nirma and 'Save Our Sisters'. Ogilvy & Mather Mumbai has one shortlist for its work for Mentos Sour Marbels. McCann Worldgroup India received one shortlist for 'Security Solutions'.    

The first set of shortlists was announced on 16 September. The award presentation will take place in Singapore this evening.
