Mindshare India bolsters top management

Mindshare India has made three top level announcements. MA Parthasarathy, Alok Sinha and ‘Pat’ Vinayak assume senior level positions in the company with immediate effect. With the finalization of these three positions, Mindshare India has completed the targeted restructuring.

While MA Parthasarathy has joined as partner, Business Planning, South Asia, Alok Sinha has relocated from Mindshare Singapore to join as partner, Invention, South Asia and Pat Vinayak is back in India after her stint with Mindshare Sri Lanka to lead the Exchange function for the newly formed Team Aditya Birla Group.

Parthasarathy joins from JWT, where he has worked across roles like account manager, strategic planner and business director. His most recent role was as regional account director on the Ford Account for the Asia-Pacific and Africa region, based out of Bangkok. In addition to Ford, he has worked with clients in the financial services, telecom and retail sectors as a strategic planner. A company statement says that “his multi-national and multi-cultural experience is a valuable asset.” He was one of just two Indian employees nominated as part of JWT’s first-ever global “High Potential Group” and will be based out of Bangalore.

In his Singapore assignment, Sinha was helping markets with new business development and strategic solutions for Maybelline and LG businesses in China, he improved service delivery on Nestle in Indonesia and is currently in a regional client leadership role on Pepsi and Nestle. Prior to joining Mindshare, Sinha was with Carat, where he spent four years in communication planning and tools and process training roles. At Carat, his mandate was the P&G business in Manila where he set up the team to service that account, leading the office from a two brand mandate to one spanning almost all P&G’s brands in the Philippines. He has also worked as planning director at Ogilvy in India and with Gallup and Lowe, India in research roles. He brings with him “a strong passion for communications planning and 15 years of experience with the brand agency account planning discipline and a very valuable research expertise,” according to a company statement. Sinha will be based out Delhi. Although he will finally move into India by 1st of April, he is already on board.

After her stint at Mindshare Sri Lanka, Pat Vinayak will be leading the Exchange function for the newly formed Team Aditya Birla Group.
