After winning the Grand Prix and Integrated Cannes Lions, JWT Mumbai has won a Grand Prix at the AAAA (American Association of Advertising Agencies ) Chiat Day Planning Awards for the wedding programme work 'Diamond Bride' done for De Beers Group Marketing.  The award was presented at the AAAA Jay Chiat conference in Miami, Florida USA on July 22nd, 2008.

William Charnock, co-chair of this year's Jay Chiat Planning Awards, said, "It takes a very brave planner to decide to challenge a cultural ideal, in this case the cultural ideal of a dutiful and self-sacrificing Indian bride. It's hard to think of any cases in the advertising world that demonstrate this degree of marketing courage."

"Jay Chiat Planning awards are special and rarefied. They celebrate the contribution of strategic planning and thought leadership and are the only award to reward entries from all over the world in this area. Jay Chiat awards are designed to be unique. Many other shows reward effectiveness. Many other shows reward creativity. None award excellence in creative thinking. None award reshaping how we see the world," said Dhunji S. Wadia, managing Partner, JWT.

The Jay Chiat Planning Awards annually recognize planners who have developed strong and innovative insights and seen their work evolve through creative that affects both the consumer and the business.
