Breaking news: Kumar Subramaniam to head Contract’s Mumbai office

Contract Advertising has announced the appointment of Kumar Subramaniam as the executive vice president for their Mumbai office. In addition, he will be responsible for the agency’s digital division iContract. Subramaniam was earlier heading the Vodafone business at Ogilvy.

Talking about his appointment, Umesh Shrikhande, CEO, Contract Advertising told Campaign India, "Kumar is a highly seasoned professional with rich experience. He brings a holistic attitude and sharp skills to the assignment. He comes to Contract after spending almost a decade with Ogilvy, where during the last two years, he was the executive brand director and head of the Vodafone business. We are delighted that he has joined us and look forward to a purposeful journey ahead."

Commenting on his appointment, Subramaniam (pictured) said, “Contract is an agency that has consistently done some very good work, always underpinned by sound strategic thinking. It’s also a place that has all the potential to go beyond where it is now. And I hope to be able to help in that. I am especially excited by the opportunity to drive the digital agenda for the agency. These are very exciting times, times of great change; and I think the iContract offering is extremely well placed to make the most of these times and opportunities.”
