ZEE Board approves swap ratio for 9X acquisition
The Board of Directors of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited has approved the Scheme of Arrangement between the Company and INX Media Private Limited (INX) for the demerger of ‘9X’ General Entertainment Channel Business Undertaking from INX and vesting into the Company.

How many people in the media / advertising industry deal with financial investors on a regular basis? I’m not thinking here of clients but of investors in your business.Not many - I imagine and its a bloody good thing too.I’d say that because, apart from a few, the bulk of ‘ investment bankers’ don’t have a clue about how a TV media business works. They believe that the TV media business is like any other manufacturing business or a service where you buy at x and sell at y. The delta is the upside.
Breaking News: Peter and Indrani Mukerjea quit INX Media management
Indrani and Peter Mukerjea (pictured), promoters of INX Media Pvt. Ltd., have chosen to step down from their current management roles. Indrani will be doing so from end of April 2009 and Peter from the end of March 2009. They will however continue to be shareholders of the company. Indrani and Peter said in a statement: "We have discussed this with our other shareholders and have also requested them to make arrangements for the transition."

Peter Mukerjea, chairman, INX Group says there will be no change in the structure of INX Media after the sale of NewsX to Indi Media.Speaking to Campaign India a few days after the NewsX sale to Indi Media, Mukerjea, elaborating on the implications of the sale on the two other channels from the stable, 9X and 9XM, said, "More focus and attention will now be available for INX Media. We will be seeing fresh content on 9X over the next few weeks just as soon as we can get the programming commissioned and produced keeping in mind market sensitivities."
