Madan Mohan quits TBWA India

Madan Mohan, COO, TBWA India (West) has quit the agency. Mohan, who has spent the last four years at the Omnicom agency, did not share details of where he was headed but said that he would be taking up a new assignment in the next 45 days.

It's official: TBWA owns 100% of TBWA India

TBWA Worldwide has completed the acquisition of the 49% of shares, currently held by Indian shareholders. Following this acquisition, TBWA Worldwide, together with Omnicom will own 100% of TBWA India. George John is the largest of the three local shareholders, and will serve TBWA India in an advisory capacity after September. Kurien Mathews is the second shareholder, and will remain with TBWA India till the end of September. N Krishnan, the third shareholder, is to assume the role of COO, TBWA India Group.

TBWA India: the fat lady sings

As they say about the opera, it ain’t over till the fat lady sings. In this context, all the paperwork required  for TBWA to own 100% of their India arm is now done.It’s the end of an era in Indian advertising as George John, chairman of TBWA India, signs on the dotted line to make his exit from the agency that he built.  He didn’t do this alone. With him were two partners, N Krishnan and Kurien Mathews. Krishnan continues at TBWA in a professional capacity while Mathews moves on to a currently undisclosed  destination.

TBWA promotes Madan Mohan and Nirmalya Sen

TBWA India Chairman George John announced the elevation of Madan Mohan, senior VP, TBWA India-West, (pictured) and Nirmalya Sen, senior VP, TBWA India-North, to the positions of COO West and North respectively. Speaking on the promotions, John told Campaign India, “Today, we are recognized by TBWA as one of the two fastest growing offices worldwide. Madan and Nirmalya played their respective roles very well to make it possible. These promotions are well deserved.”Both will report to Shiv Sethuraman who will join the agency on June 16.
