Breaking News: Sony’s T Gangadhar to join MEC as Managing Director
T Gangadhar, vice president and head of marketing, SET Max is set to join Mediaedge:cia (MEC) as managing director. The appointment is effective August 14th. As part of the new management structure, Gangadhar (also known as Gangs) will be responsible for the continued business development of the agency; the delivery of communications planning through diversified services and will continue to build the MEC brand and team throughout the country.
IPG launches full service agency Pickle in India
The Interpublic Group (IPG) has launched a new agency in India christened Pickle, which will function as a full service agency and will handle business that conflicts with IPG’s older agency Lowe India. IPG’s other agency in India SSC&B Lintas will be merged with the new outfit. Pickle will now service the former’s existing accounts, besides pitching for new business.
'Prem's resignation natural order of things': Lowe's Gatfield
In a move that had for long been expected, Lowe Worldwide has announced that Prem Mehta, chairman and MD, Lintas India has resigned. Speaking on conference call, Steve Gatfield, CEO, Lowe Worldwide (pictured) said, “When Interpublic were in discussion with the Lintas Trustees and Prem with regard to the purchase of remaining equity in the group, Prem was very candid about his desire to not stay a long time beyond the closure of the deal.
