The One Show has introduced a quarterly entry system, as opposed to the annual entry system that has become the industry norm. Entries will be posted on the One Show Interactive site and will be viewable by the general public in real-time. Once work appears on the site it will trigger the system’s social networking features, (updates on Facebook and Twitter), effectively attempting to promote the entrant’s work.
The One Show awards that took place on Wednesday night at the Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York's bustling Broadway area, was a meeting ground for creative directors, suits, advertising legends and bright eyed junior copywriters, besides international press folks like us, who all came together to attend the 2008 One show Awards night. The evening began with a cocktail reception at the VIP room at the Lincoln Center, where we spotted host One Club's Mary Warlick, Kevin Swanepoel and David Baldwin chatting up the guests.
For the second year in a row The One Club is giving the public the opportunity to vote for their favorite television ads of the year at its online showcase One Show.TV
