Campaign India DMA 2012: Maxus is Agency of the Year, Titan Client of the Year

Campaign India DMA 2012: Maxus is Agency of the Year, Titan Client of the Year

Maxus India won the ‘Agency of the Year’ award at the Campaign India Digital Media Awards 2012, while Titan Industries walked away with the ‘Client of the Year’ trophy. The awards were presented on 8 June 2012 in Mumbai.

Maxus India had a tally of five metals, comprising one Gold, two Silvers and two Bronzes. The Gold winning-entry was ‘Titan HTSE - Light Powered media for light powered watch’, in the APPS category. The Silvers were also for work on Titan HTSE in the Integrated and Mobile categories. The agency won a Bronze each for client Nokia’s 'The Times of India becomes LIVE TV' entry in the Mobile category, and for its 'Sequel to TVC with a Twist' in the Website category for Tanishq.

Titan Industries won the Client of the Year award thanks to three digital campaigns – one each for Titan HTSE (watches), Tanishq and Fastrack. Receiving the award on behalf of Titan was Gaurav Bhuwan, Head Retail - Tanishq, Titan Industries Limited.

Asked about the focus on digital at Titan across brands, Bhuwan said, “It’s the focus on consumer understanding that is at the core; on understanding each kind of behaviour that consumers exhibit on each medium. And digital is not just a medium, it is part of a strategy for us. It’s about creating ideas around a strategy and then continuing to evolve conversations and engaging consumers.”

Besides wins for work entered by Maxus India for Titan HTSE and Tanishq, Titan also won a Bronze for Fastrack 'Tees' in the Online Marketing category, entered by 22feet.

Platinum for Jack In The Box, Webchutney

Webchutney won a Platinum award for its entry 'All About Rajni' for Desimartini. The same campaign picked up two Golds – one each in the Media Innovation and Website categories. It also won Webchutney a Silver in the Viral Marketing category. The digital agency also won a Bronze for 'Harmonium Love' for client Mohan Music Palace, in the category Website.

'Why This Kolaveri Di' entered by Jack In The Box Worldwide and Sony Music Digital Marketing Team, bagged the second Platinum of the evening. The entry also won two Golds - one each in Viral Marketing and Use Of Social Media. In the Online PR category, the entry won a Silver.

Grey Digital’s entry 'Oscar Charades' for client Star Movies won a Silver in the Display category. The agency also won four Bronzes for its work on Volkswagen Jetta. These were in the categories of Display ('Type Like Crazy For The Jetta'); Viral Marketing and Use Of Social Media ('Anything4Jetta - Zero to Trending in 20 minutes'); and Online Marketing ('When Twitterati did everything they could with #anything4jetta').

Interactive Avenues won four metals - three Silvers and one Bronze. It’s entry 'Spark The Rise' for Mahindra won a Silver in the Online Marketingvategory, 'Recommend the AMEX Experience' for American Express in Media Innovation; and 'AMEX - Gunning for Gold on Linkedin' in Use Of Social Media. The Bronze was for 'AMEX - Did your designation just change?' in the Display category.

Other entrants winning metal were Interface Business Solutions (1 Silver, 2 Bronzes), OgilvyOne Worldwide (1 Silver, 2 Bronzes ), ‘Mahindra + Agencies’ (1 Silver), MRM Worldwide / Result Services Private Limited (1 Silver), Creativeland Asia (2 Bronzes), Mindshare (2 Bronzes); and Indigo Consulting , Kotak Life Insurance and LBi (1 Bronze each).
