Prasanth Mohanachandran quits OgilvyOne Worldwide and Neo@Ogilvy India

Prasanth Mohanachandran (pictured), executive director, digital services, OgilvyOne Worldwide India and Neo@Ogilvy India has put in his papers after 10 years. In the time spent with OgilvyOne, Mohanachandran has worked on various brands such as Nokia,  Vodafone, Unilever,  IBM,  HDFC Bank, Cadbury, American Express among others. He was also a member of Ogilvy India's executive committee.

Prasanth Mohanachandran (pictured), executive director, digital services, OgilvyOne Worldwide India and Neo@Ogilvy India has put in his papers after 10 years. In the time spent with OgilvyOne, Mohanachandran has worked on various brands such as Nokia,  Vodafone, Unilever,  IBM,  HDFC Bank, Cadbury, American Express among others. He was also a member of Ogilvy India's executive committee.

"I consider myself extremely fortunate to have worked with two industry visionaries – Piyush Pandey and SN Rane. I have had  a wonderful time working with what I believe are some of the brightest and best talent in the industry. I know that I am leaving the team behind in very able hands," says Mohanachandran, about his departure from the agency.

The official communique from Ogilvy mentions that Kaizad Pardiwala, president, OgilvyOne Worldwide India and a member of executive committee, will soon don a new role.

Said Pardiwala, "It’s been a fantastic six years at OgilvyOne where I came in as a novice and leave having made it the best digital and DM agency in this country. Life is about accepting new challenges and it’s time for me to move to my next one. And being an Ogilvyite for the past 13 years, it’s great that I can continue to explore new territories within the Ogilvy group itself."

Meanwhile, Ogilvy India has announced Sharmista Dev, senior VP and head of office, Ogilvy Kolkata as the 360 brand team leader of Vodafone (North). She will relocate to Ogilvy Delhi. Dev has been heading the Kolkata office for a little over five years.

The agency has also announced the elevation of Malini Sengupta as general manager of its Kolkata office. Sengupta, who was previously head of account management at the agency, will report to Sanjay Thapar, president, Ogilvy (north and east).

Thapar said, "Both the changes are strategic ones at this critical point. Sharmista's movement to Delhi is symbolic of our commitment to the eight circles of Vodafone handled out of Delhi, each a business in their own right. Malini's promotion ensures continuity in Kolkata and a fresh  impetus which will come under her leadership and strategic thinking."
