Oppo creates a time-lapse to showcase 24-hour battery life of Enco earbuds

Watch the film conceptualised by Wieden+Kennedy Delhi here

Oppo has released the launch film for its recently introduced Enco range of earbuds.

The brand partnered with Tamil-Canadian artist Shan Vincent de Paul and rolled out a film conceptualised by Wieden+Kennedy Delhi. De Paul composed a track and starred in a music video which showcased the 24-hour battery with the help of a time-lapse.

Damyant Singh Khanoria, chief marketing officer, Oppo India, said, “Saying yes to this campaign has probably been the easiest creative call we’ve had to make in ages. We instantly gravitated to the idea because it was simple, emotional and continues to push Oppo into culture. It’s a great example of how a sharp product proposition makes for amazing creative work.”

Dean Wei, ECD, W+K Delhi, said, “I love that Oppo has the confidence to really try to earn a place in culture. Handing control over to a bold musical and visual artist like Shan to promote the Enco wireless earbuds shows a willingness to take a bit of a risk and also shows incredible taste. As creative partners to Shan, we were very clear on what we wanted - to make this a product demo and to showcase the features - and once we aligned on that we let Shan do his thing. It was tricky to shoot remotely in Toronto but it says a lot about the trust and partnership between the artist, W+K and Oppo to create something so fresh.”

Gautham Narayanan, MD, W+K Delhi, added, “We’re continually looking for new ways to do simple things. From our previous unboxing film that launched a new track, to this product demo disguised as a music video. We always go back to the formula because we believe it unlocks results for our clients and cultural connection drives fame, which in turn, drives sales.”
