The HT Media Group has announced the re-branding of the daily Hindustan Times.

The re-brand for the newspaper also includes HT City and HT Brunch. It consists of a new logo and an emphasis on digital. The stories will have QR Codes which point to videos, links to podcasts and photo galleries.

It's launched with a new positioning, 'first voice, last word', through which it's giving a promise of credible journalism. According to a statement, 'first voice alludes to its digital first approach and the 'last word' captures the essence of journalism associated with a credible, trusted and respected news brand.

Rajan Bhalla, group CMO, HT Media, said, “The media landscape has undergone immense transformation in the past decade and despite the testing times, Hindustan Times continues to make strides as a market leader to give the ‘news consumers’ what they are seeking and how they are seeking it. This refreshed product fits the fast-paced, knowledge seeking needs of the millennials without alienating the older generation who are also fast adapting to the new ways of news consumption. We are extremely excited aboutthis new offering and are certain that this raises the bar for the news industry in our country.”
