Spikes Asia 2015 receives 4,351 entries

Surge in Media, Film Craft, PR; Print and Outdoor see drop in entries

Spikes Asia 2015 receives 4,351 entries
Spikes Asia has announced that 4,351 entries from 23 countries have been received across the 18 categories this year. This is down from the 4,984 entries received last year.

Increase in entries were seen in the Media, PR and Film Craft.

Terry Savage, festival chairman, said, "The importance that the tools used for telling stories hold in creativity. Two areas that have seen a decline this year are the Print and Outdoor categories. We also saw this on a global level at Cannes Lions earlier this year. It may be that the well-documented challenges of these media are behind the decrease but as with Cannes Lions, it is perhaps too early to draw any hasty conclusions from this data.”

The organisers have also announced the shortlists for the Innovations category. A total of 11 entries have made the cut from 47 that were entered. No Indian entry has made the shortlist.

Spikes Asia takes place between 9 to 11 September in Singapore. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 11 September 2015.
