Replaces Gaurav Gandhi who joined Amazon Prime Video last year

Gourav Rakshit joins Viacom18 Digital Ventures as COO
Gourav Rakshit has joined Viacom18 Digital Ventures as COO. Rakshit moves from Shaadi.com where he was president and CEO. At Viacom18 he will report to Sudhanshu Vats, group CEO and MD.

Vats said, “Our digital foray has grown exponentially since its inception three years back, with the sharply segmented businesses – the ad led model, the international business and the soon-to-be-launched subscription based Voot Kids service. As we unlock business value, Gourav, with an in-depth understanding of digital disruption and a proven track-record of envisioning subscription growth, is the right person to lead our talented teams across the digital ventures portfolio.”

In a career spanning two decades, he has also worked with Nestle, Planetasia and Infosys Consulting.

Rakshit replaces Gaurav Gandhi, who moved on from Viacom18 last year to join Amazon Prime Video.
